What does my trip include?
We like to make this experience as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. Our guide services have no hidden charges. All equipment and flies are included, together with a premium fly rod and reel tailored to your destination, Orvis waders and boots. The only thing we cannot include is your Victorian fishing license which is required by the state of Victoria. We cannot issue you a fishing license on site however you can apply for it online.
Your Gippsland Fly Fishing guide will provide safe and comfortable transportation to and from your fishing destination. If needed, they can even pick you up from any location around Melbourne. Extra costs do apply.
Your Fishing License
After booking your trip, we encourage you to take a few seconds and purchase your Victorian fishing license online before your trip.
We encourage you to pre-purchase your license online to save time. Just click the link, fill out the information, print out the receipt when you are done or have it stored on your phone and make sure to bring it with you on the day of your trip! You must keep it on you while fishing. If you are only fishing for one day, select resident or non-resident, then the $10-3 day fishing license option for the date of your trip.
You will not need a licence to fish if you are:
- under 18 years of age;
- 70 years of age or over;
There are four recreational fishing licences:
- 3-day licence for $10
- 28-day licence for $21.20
- 1-year licence for $37.20 ($34.95 if you buy online)
- 3-year licence for $100.70 ($95.40 if you buy online).
